One who has ever met Krupenkovy family, will never forget this bright, unusual couple. These particular people are associated with the classic example of the Jewish family: educated, talented and active.
Krupenkovy family has been attending JCC “Emunah” for 10 years already since its first days. They were the first members of Keshet family club and were one of the most active participants. Their son Misha became JCC client as a lovely baby with fluffy hair, now he is a serious young man, a third-year student of physical faculty and an active participant of Hillel and JCC Youth Leadership School.
Olga and Yury Krupenkovy are both artistic and creative people, both talented painters. They are always ready to help Emunah in designing and holding holidays, shabbatonim, open and warm homes, in preparing and illustrating editions for children “The Ship of Good”, “Sevivon” magazine and its supplement “Sevivonchik” edited by the JCC and generously supported by the L.A. Pincus Fund for Jewish Education in the Diaspora and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee in the Republic of Belarus.
Olga Krupenkova is a member of the Union of visual artists of Belarus, she specializes in easel painting and book graphics. Her works of art are exhibited in Printing Museum in Tokyo, in Litograph Academy in Sweden, in the collection of the University of Maryland (USA), and in the Modern Visual Art Museum in Minsk. Her paintings may also be found in private collections and galleries in Italy, the USA, the Netherlands, Russia, and Belarus. Visitors of the JCC Emunah library can’t but admire her masterpiece “The Tower of Babel” that was presented by Olga Krupenkova to the beloved organization.
Works by Yury Krupenkov who is also a member of the Union of visual artists of Belarus, can’t but astonish people with their unusual, inimitable worldview and “pure” emotions with love being the centre of the universe and the main idea on his canvases.
Three years ago a small miracle came into the world in Krupenkovy family – little Masha was born, that is why Olga and Yury signed up for the JCC early development school “Mazal Tov” to grasp secrets of successful upbringing. Despite being busy raising kids Olga and Yury are still very active in the life of Jewish community. Thus, during Shabbath welcoming with Keshet Family club this month they made a presentation of their new works: paintings and book illustrations. |
